In 2007 Dan and I retired from work, hitched our 5th wheel to our truck, and hit the road. We are full time RV'ers so we take our home with us everywhere we go. We live by the credo "Home Is Where You Park It" and we have found Home in many an awesome setting! I created this blog to track our adventures as we travel around the US, Canada, and Mexico. Two of our goals include visiting all the State Capitals and as many of the Baseball Parks as possible, with everything else we can fit in between!

Chico, California (June 2013)
We planned our northwest journey so we
would arrive in Chico
during the first week of June to attend the graduation of Dan's oldest granddaughter.
While there, we spent as much time as possible with Dan's son and his family,
visiting, lending a hand where we could, and making new memories to carry with
us when we left. In addition to the Big Event, the graduation, we were able hike
at Lassen Volcanic National Park (see post below), get in a round of golf, and watch
the grandkids play soccer. We also got to meet Dan's two youngest grandkids for
the first time, something that was a long time coming, and much appreciated.
Sweltering temperatures during our stay, and the day of the outdoor graduation
party the mercury rose to 111 degrees! Lucky for everyone in attendance, the
yard was fully shaded and there was a swimming pool available as well. All too
soon this week was over and it was time to continue north to the Oregon coast. Below are
some pictures from our stay in Chico .
